Interesting group of songs this week. One golden oldie, from the magical The Dark Side Of The Moon CD. Man, does that ever bring back high school memories, even though it came out years before I graduated. Then a bunch of new songs, including one from The Charlatans, who released this CD as a free download, although I'm not sure it is still available. Six and 11:11 were both great 2009 purchases. I still need to get Herzig's CD, as I've heard samples from all the songs on cdbaby and I really like them. This MP3 I bought as a single. Then we go back a little ways for one of the best Cure CDs (but Vox won't let me up load the song, saying it "cannot accept this file". Weird) . And then even further back for a Beatles song, although the CD is the more recent 1 CD, which contains all 27 of their #1 (UK or US) hits. Not sure where, exactly, I got the Shonen Knife song, although I've always been a big fan of theirs. And I usually don't include songs from any of the various free compilations I grab, but Ya Verdad is a really tremendous song from the best of 2007 Stereogum collection.
